On-Time Travel

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport was recently ranked the 8th most punctual airport in the world for 2024, with 82.06% of flights departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. This recognition highlights the airport’s dedication to providing a smooth, timely travel experience despite challenges in the aviation industry.

Like Metro Airport, Golden Limousine International is dedicated to ensuring your on-time, stress-free arrival too.

Why deal with the hassle of driving and parking at the airport when you can have one of our professional chauffeurs arrive early to pick you up and drop you off right at the terminal?

With our sophisticated flight tracking system, we monitor your air travel in real-time, ensuring we’ll be there when you arrive—whether your flight is early, on time, or delayed.

We can also arrange for transportation when you arrive at your destination through our extensive affiliate network, ensuring you get the same level of service wherever your travels take you.

Meet the Team Behind Golden's Standards of Excellence

At Golden Limousine International, our Safety Team plays a critical role in protecting both passengers and employees by upholding the highest standards for safety and excellence in the transportation industry.

From developing and enforcing safety protocols to conducting regular vehicle inspections and ensuring every chauffeur meets rigorous training and certification requirements, this team is the backbone of our commitment to safe, smooth travel. They also oversee regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risk. We’re proud to introduce you to the individuals behind the scenes who make it all possible - driving Golden's mission of excellence forward every day.

How long have you been with Golden Limousine?

Maybe about 21 years, I can't quite remember.

What is your role?

Special Assistant to the President, but really I'm the Fleet and Facility Manager.

What made you decide to pursue your role?

My father worked in transportation my whole life, so I've been around the transportation industry since I was a kid. I was doing different side gigs at the auto shows before I joined Golden, and it sort of fit into what I was doing previously. I also used to own a bus or two as well, so it just made sense.

What do you enjoy most about working at Golden?

Every day is something new, there are no two same days. I also like educating the employees on different aspects of the transportation business as well.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The supply chain - where I have to go out and get parts and deal with vendors. Keeping these buses running is the most important part; you have to know where to get the parts, where to locate them, and what deals you can get as quickly as possible.

What does a typical workday at Golden Limousine look like for you?

Between 6-7:30 am I go over all the chats and issues to see what I missed when I was sleeping. Around 8 am I call into my main mechanic, and he'll explain everything that needs fixing and what needs to be done. I'll spend the rest of the day sorting all of that out.

With Golden's diverse fleet, are there certain vehicles that you enjoy working on more than others? If so, why?

I work on safety throughout all the vehicles, I have no favorites because it's all the same all around, and it's the most important thing we do.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I've traveled everywhere you can imagine, know as many people as you might think is possible, and ticked off all the boxes on the bucket list. At the end of the day, I like seeing my grandkids; they're who I really work for.

What's your favorite food?

Broccoli

What brings you joy?

Seeing everyone else have joy. I like seeing other people happy, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

Thank you, James, for your dedication and commitment to Golden Limousine International. Your leadership in your position plays a vital role in our continued excellence. Your hard work, attention to detail, and steady support never go unnoticed—and your impact is deeply appreciated by the entire Golden team.
