Parade timing, DTW rides, and Michigan games.--

Thanksgiving Day in Detroit

Thanksgiving morning in Detroit has two special events: America’s Thanksgiving Parade, which turns 100 this year, and the Lions hosting the Bears at Ford Field.

• 8:45 AM: The parade starts off on Woodward at Kirby
• About 10:15 AM: The parade ends at Congress, roughly a mile from Ford Field
• 1:00 PM: Lions and Bears kick off

Golden can take your group to the parade, the game, or both. Woodward closures affect the route downtown, so we set drop-off and pickup locations with you ahead of time.

Round Trip Airport Travel

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after are typically the busiest travel days of the year.

If you are flying, reserve your ride to DTW and your ride home at the same time.

Hosting this year? Send us your guests’ flight details, and we will arrange their pickups, so no one in your family has to make the airport run.
