On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Their selflessness and unwavering dedication serve as a timeless reminder of the true cost of liberty.

This day is especially meaningful for me, as several members of my family have served in the armed forces. Join me in expressing our deepest gratitude and ensuring that the legacy of our fallen heroes lives on.

Honor The Fallen

We asked our staff...

"What does Memorial Day mean to you?"

"Memorial Day means a day set aside to honor those who have sacrificed by putting their lives on the line for our freedoms. Whether by serving, or by giving the ultimate sacrifice of their lives."

"Remembering the lives lost and sacrifices made by the men and women in our armed forces"

"A day to honor all"

"Are you or do you have a family member that is a veteran?"

"I am the proud mother of two Army Rangers, one infantry, one airborne "

"Both of my grandfathers"

"My son is a Marine and my grandpa was a retired Army veteran. I go to the cemetery every year to pay my respects on Memorial Day. Thank you to all those who serve and have served!"

"How do you honor our fallen heroes on Memorial Day?"

"I like to take the day and reflect on how fortunate we are to live in a country where we are free, and not under a leader's dictatorship. None of which would be possible were it not for the brave men and women of our armed services."

"By being a patriot of outstanding moral character and compassion"

"Putting flags on gravestones"

"Does your family have any Memorial Day traditions?"

"We attend our community Memorial Day parade, followed by hot dogs, chips and pop at the VFW hall and shaking the hands of our Veterans and a heartfelt "Thank You for your service"

"I spend Memorial Day at the fort atop Mackinac Island. To this day, it fills my heart and reminds me how wonderful it is to be a free American."

"My fondest memory would be camping at Houghton Lake when I was a child for Memorial Day. Waking up each morning to the smell of breakfast being prepared over the campfire by Dad has been a memory that lingers in my mind to this day."
