A Legacy of Service, Courage, and Sacrifice

Veterans Day reminds us that our freedom is selflessly protected by those who dedicate their lives to its defense.

Every year on November 11, our nation comes together to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The day’s origins trace back to November 11, 1918, when the guns fell silent at the end of World War I. What began as Armistice Day, a celebration of peace, has become Veterans Day, a time to recognize all who have served with courage, loyalty, and unwavering commitment.

This day holds special meaning for our CEO, Sean Duval, whose family has proudly served in the U.S. military. Their dedication is a reminder of the values of service, leadership, and community that continue to guide our company.

As we reflect on this legacy, we celebrate every veteran whose strength and sacrifice continue to inspire us.

To every veteran and active-duty service member: we thank you, we honor you, and we salute you.

Freedom River Fall Festival

We’re proud to continue our support of Freedom River, an incredible organization dedicated to helping U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families heal and rebuild through outdoor recreation and community connection.

We were honored to be a sponsor of this year’s Freedom River Fall Festival, a family-friendly community event filled with laughter, music, and activities for all, along with a shared spirit of gratitude and giving.

"I had the privilege of seeing one of our coaches escorted to Freedom River carrying military veterans and their families to this year's Freedom Festival," said Golden President/CEO Sean Duval.

"This reminded me why our work at Golden Limousine is about so much more than transportation. At Golden, we often say it’s more than just a ride... these moments are the epitome of that statement. I’m proud of our team for treating every journey as an opportunity to serve something bigger than ourselves.”

Our sincere thanks to Fisher House Michigan for their continued dedication to supporting military families, and to Freedom River for creating a safe space where these families can spend time in rest, fellowship, and care.

Under Sean’s leadership, as a member of the Freedom River Board of Directors, we’re honored to support their mission to enhance the lives of veterans and their families.
